Juliana Olliff is a fiber artist based in Bozeman, MT. Although she has been making art since she was young, she discovered her love for textiles during undergrad.
Juliana grew up in Yellowstone National Park before moving to Bozeman, MT. She attended Colorado College (CC) in Colorado Springs, CO for her undergraduate degree. During her time at CC, Juliana was very lucky to learn her weaving skills under the tutelage of Jeanne Steiner. Juliana taught Introductory Weaving courses to other students at CC and was able to hone her craft while teaching. After undergraduate, she bounced between Maine and Seattle, mostly focusing on learning traditional Aran and Fisherman knitting skills. She finally landed back in Bozeman and is very happy to have a permanent place to work with her Schadt floor loom.
Juliana takes a lot of inspiration for color and design from outdoor spaces and likes her work to reflect natural areas around her. Her current project is learning to dye her fibers using natural ingredients gathered from the Gallatin Valley area.
